So I got my new amp in the mailtoday, thank you to colonel kurtz for packing it perfectly. Scared me cause the box had a big dent in the side of it but the amp was perfectly safe thanks to the superb packing job

My first 5 minutes with the amp, still a little fizzy I think, but as I learn to dial her in a bit more I am sure she will be a little beast! I am really digging it already!

Too bad the standard version doesn't have a presence control, but concerning the fizzyness, you can still do a lot with working the Sweep knob.

Ya for sure. I was tweaking it a bit more this morning before work. I find that bringing the gain UP and backing off on the tube screamer level gives it a bit more of a kick in the low mids and cuts down on the fizz factor. I think thats pretty interesting considering the tube screamer isnt a very "bright" pedal. But I will get some comparison clips of the 4 amps up tonight.

IME, running a TS in front is the only way to cut down on the fizz out of these amps. the only possible complaint i could have about the rev jr. is that it's really hard to get that grainy quality out of the tone...but of course, i think that top end grit is what gives the kranks their signature sound as well
