I wonder if any of those precious solar particles were lost...but for all their faults, complaining about overspending on NASA rings a bit hollow after the $87 billion allocated to Iraq. No American citizen has ever went into space against their will and came home in a flag-draped coffin.

Either way I agree NASA is a waste. It's like that law of diminishing returns crap, shitloads of $$$ goes into it with extremely little result. I'm fascinated by space as well, but when you can learn all you want through books written BEFORE NASA existed, well then, I just don't know how to end this sentence.
