National Socialism and Eastern Europe

Excellent, excellent post. Glad to have you as a regular.

With regards to this comment, "...Here in Norway, "nazis" are mainly young boys from the big cities, who are pissed off because they can't find a job/don't have any friends. Some of these may also have been beaten up/been robbed by a bunch of immigrants too..."

Yes, there is always something that 'triggers' this. Nobody wakes up one day feeling this resentment, and certainly racism isn't passed through genetics. Most nazi hooligan types probably have racist parents, or have become a product of their downtrodden environment and are looking for a scapegoat.

Has anyone seen "American History X"? It's really quite a well thought out movie, a young man joins a neo-nazi group after his father (a fireman) is killed by a black man, and so all of a sudden, anybody that isn't white is an 'enemy'. This guy, played by Ed Norton, is really quite well thought out in his views.

Then he goes to prison and gets gang raped butt fucked by his own white nazi prisonmates (in the shower no less!). It's pretty gruesome. :ill: Nevertheless, his outlook on white people being 'better' than non-whites is slightly marred. :loco:

Thanks a lot for the positive feedback, 'tis highly appreciated. :Spin:

I've seen "American History X" a couple of times. The storyline is rather good, but watching the film isn't a very pleasant experience. Suburban American areas always turn me off for some reason, and very realistic, unmotivated violence makes my stomach do weird things :p On top of this, the ending scenes are "a bit" too American.

@spaffe: Thanks, that was an interesting read.

American History X is almost like the perfect movie, it's extremely well written, acted, and directed, it's thought provoking and doesn't get stale after numerous viewings, and it even has some good olde sex and violence.

2) The free market economy (Free market economy is similar to "survival of the fittest" in my book, and these people obviously don't have what it takes to survive in a competitive environment. Tough luck, but that's life)
Good morning America, are you listening? The Red Scare is still alive and well in the US, even the word "socialism" is treated harshly.

Read what Hitler and your ideological masters thought about Eastern Europeans, get your life sorted out and stop whining. k thx
Yep, probably my favorite part about all the NS stuff coming from the Ukraine. :D

Yeah me too, and I've lived in it for all my life. I think Edward Scissorhands has the best view of American suburbia, it's frighteningly realistic.

 Owned. The infamous sidewalk scene was what caused the stomach churning. I'm a "huge fan" of other kinds of film violence, as long as it isn't hate motivated and incredibly realistic, though. :loco:

:D Oh yeah, cartoonish violence is a far cry from the real stuff. I can barely watch that sidewalk scene, just thinking of that dude putting his teeth on the curb makes me shudder.

There was a nightclub down the street from me where that apparently happened once, long before the movie. Yeah I pretty much avoided that place, it's shut down now. Thankfully.

You sound like my buddy who watched every horror movie known to man. But is too afraid to ride the big rollercoaster at six flags. And is too frightened to drink on a dark abandoned hillside.
:tickled:

On a somewhat related note to the topic. (For those of us in the U.S)
Part 2 of the Documentary "Auschwitz 'Rise of the Nazi State'" is on PBS tonight at 9pm. It's absolutely fascinating, yet horrifying at the same time.

I love horror films, the more the gore the better. I even love to watch boxing or UFC, one of the reasons I get HBO on cable is for the fights. I guess if it's fake or controlled, I can take it, heh.

However, if I see any violence in real life, my stomach turns. I saw a man nearly beaten to death once by 4 yobs and I will never forget it as long as I live.

Also, seeing real killings and beatings on tv is still pretty sickening. Did anyone ever see the Taliban killings in that sports stadium? Or the footage of Rwanda with all those tribal warriors running around with machetes, just hacking everyone up? :ill: x 1000

Yea I seen some videos which still bring horror to my mind. (Both were from some 3rd world shithole)

1. A man tied to a pole gets burned alive.
2. A man has his limbs tied to two jeeps. The jeeps drive in opposite directions, ripping the arms right out of the torso.

Needless to say, I never want to see shit like that again.

After reading what's been said here, I find it very unneccessary to get into my beliefs... but to sum it up - glorious, glorious posts Spaffe and Henrik.

Edit : Actually, I will say some things. Keep in mind I'm horrible at typing out my ideas. So anyway, one of the things that pisses me off most in the world is how these Nazi and NS faggots have the audacity to use old germanic heathen symbols as their own and claim "THESE ARE THE WAY THEY ARE MEANT TO BE USED!". Mjollnir is not a symbol of aryan domination, get it straight you idiots... you're successfully bringing disgrace to a noble and wise culture. I could go on all day about this, but I think there would be a lot of unneccessary repetition. I just think its fucking stupid that I can mistaken as a right-wing nazi because I use a vinlandic flag or wear an odal rune... there are parts in Germany and the world where you cannot wear individual futhark (rune) letters because of these bastards!!! WTF :erk:

I'm pretty far from being well read on the subject, but that's nothing I've read/heard about and it sounds a bit too fantasical. I plan on reading up on it though

EDIT: "up here" as in scandinavia? If that's what you meant, I'd say that sounds very much like a construction by ultra-nationalists :)
well, I've seen it mentioned somewhere and I thought this seemed like a nice opportunity to ask so I took a chance and went for it!

"up here" as europe in general

Considered that it might be down to knee-jerk reactions from people on the other side of the fence, and not necessarily skinhead kids?

Speaking of films, anyone seen Romper Stomper?

You're missing the point, all I'm trying to say is that there's a huge disassociation between the true meaning of these symbols and how they're predominately being using today . Like I said - "Keep in mind I'm horrible at typing out my ideas."

Yes, but I think I preferred American History X. Romper Stomper is more about the hooligan element (if I remember right), whereas AHX goes into some decent dialogue, especially around the dinner table with Elliot Gould. It's really difficult to argue with some of the racist arguments (especially when he mentions Rodney King)....but then he falls into a rage and starts to beat up his sister. Ugh.

Out of interest, how do you feel when you see this?

Interesting question, Jay. Too be completely honest with you, I don't know shit for the origin on the confederate flag... I only know its meanings during the civil war and how a bunch of fools (not neccessarily everyone) use it today to justify slavery. And my opinion of slavery is, in a nut-shell, "fuck off".

I remember the conversations here over the confederate flag. If I recall though most regulars here generally agreed with posts from dreamlord and P.J. (dont quote me on this though). That being that the confederate flag was a symbol of the south and of southern culture more than that of a symbol of racism and slavery.

The Confederate Flag has the slavery connotations, but those that support it (and at the same do not support slavery) say it's a symbol of southern heritage, etc. But what does it represent? The Confederacy, a government formed for the sole purpose of keeping slavery legal.

I stand corrected. I can see how that connection can be drawn, I just always thought of it nowdays as symbolic of the southern lifestlye and culture.

I started reading a book about the American Civil War a few years back. In a nutshell, what I remember from the slavery issue was that, basically, without it, the economy in the South would pretty much collapse. Guess you have to look at the way the world worked back then. Anyone clued up about this era?

Yeah, you're right about RS. Funny how it ties in with what was said on the first page of this thread about dissatisfied youths falling into NS culture. On that level, it's a very sad film and very worth watching. You end up feeling sorry for the 'bad guys' by the end.
