My mothers father came from germany....to fight for the U.S. when he was 18....by himself...he knew no english....I wish I knew more about him.....

My great grandparents on my fathers side came from Germany.....My "family" whose name was Hertler owned a local market here in my hometown for about 50 years......my dads father unfortunately had a french name.....and so I am stuck with Correll as a last name......but I am not french.....I am German.......nah....to tell the truth I dont care....but I like German heritage (not the whole killing the Jews thing) .......I should educate myself more about it.......
