I was thinking that someone might be interested... I was surfing the Slate website and stumbled upon the Native Instruments website and I just downloaded the Kore Player, the free version of the Kore. It has a bunch of free instruments and you can download an additional patch that gives you total of 143 free instruments, which are semiadjustable. The "Sky kit" is actually quite passable drumkit, but its nothing super fancy.
