And for the rest of you, an IR made from a close miked cab through a tube poweramp isn't a valid comparison to to a measuring microphone capturing an Impulse of a room with a door closed. schnarf2 knows what he's talking about. Listen to this example from Altiverb.

I never said the opposite. I just misunderstood him because I interpreted it as he was refering to impulses as a whole including non-linear reproduction, he clarified, I agreed. For me that is all I need

On a side note, I'm really looking forward to Marcus' Nebula 2 "impulse" project. Sucks ass that I can't spare anything, I want to contribute Someone hook me up with an old fat lady who can't get any, I'd do her for some for cash. Taking one for the team, oh yeah!
