Need help with guitar tone

This is my first post here. I recently started getting into home recording. The problem is I don't have the ear for it. My guitar sounds like crap to everyone but me. This is the first thing I've done

All it is it 1 guitar and 1 drum track. Right now I'm using pod farm platinum. Running a uberschall through v-30's with a tube screamer. I understand that it does anyone know of a way to get a good type of tone that would fit the song? Thanks!!

turn down the gain, make sure the mids are up there, and double track panned hard L/R.

add a bass guitar and double track the guitar track and your mix will sound a lot better. If you don't have a bass yet, buy one from ebay or get one of the cheapest ones they have on your local music store, usually the beginner basses sell for $100-200.

yeah it's thin, but a bass will help
