Need help with tape recorder parts.

I am not an english speaker, so it is hard to understand some parts of the In Search Of Truth songs. Specifically tha tape parts.
Like: "I have decided to keep this tape recorder with me at all times, etc"

I would thank if any of you guys out there could help me.

I have decided to keep this tape recorder with me at all times. Just so that I maybe one day can explain all the strange things happening to me. The lack of sleep, the loss of time, but most of all the sensation of never being lonely, always being watched...

Here is the first spoken verse. Normally in english, one would use the word "alone" in the place of "lonely" but hey, it's not EG's first language either
