Hi Guys:
please don't understand me wrong, this is not a self-promotion, if I wanted to, I'll be doing it somewhere else.

here's a mix I did, listen in the difference between the backing track and the solo I did, the backing track is more treblish, but my tone is really bassy!

but when I push the highs a bit, it sounds weird, not really good, I used Zoom G5 VIA USB to record + some impulse responses.
what frequencies should I push to make my tone better?

Why don't you cut the bassy/cloudy frequencies? Then the highs would have more space and the guitar would be clearer.

Using a clean/surgical eq try narrow surgical cuts anywhere from 1500khz to 6 khz where it sounds spiky and shitty. then add a touch of sparkle where it sounds decent with a good sounding eq. Now you can boost with a wider bell and not bring up all the shit. Narrow boosts tend to sound unnatural. In all honestly though we are now polishing a turd, try to get a brighter tone in other ways first. Different IR's , Mic placement, amp, etc.

I agree with Studdy.
High shelf from about 3k and then a few narrow cuts to remove resonant peaks.
Also a cut in the low mids 200-500 should help too.
