Tube Screamer tone knobs

It seems like a weird question, What is the frequency that is controlled by the tube screamer tone knob.
I'm using the TSE Tube screamer plug-in, my tone had a lot of honk or something like that, so I lowered the tone knob from the plug-in and my tone got better, but I still need to cut this frequency, using a normal eq.
I think Waves Q-Capture can do this kind of tests, it can help you know what frequencies you're dealing with.
 
I think maamar huq is right. Sometimes I have to cut at 670hz where the ringing noise is that comes from the ts
 
The Tubescreamer's tone control is a resonate low pass filter where the tone knob is a q control, all the way down is a 6db/octave low pass at 724Hz, with the tone knob up all the way you have about a 6db resonate peak at roughly 1.2kHz on top of that low pass filter.
