so i just ditched the 5-way switch in one of my guitars for a 3-way since the single coil never gets used...but now i have no idea how to wire the switch up

i basically need to know how to wire up this pickup config:

to this switch:

edit: i may as well throw a ¯\(°_o)/¯ in here....

You are going to have to find a pinout for that switch..... I know the tab in the mid left side is the ground, but otherwise that is a fucked up switch.

no dude, it's a 3-way...i ordered that exact switch and it showed up today

i thought i'd be able to find a 3-way blade switch that wires similarly to what's pictured...couldn't find anything though

let me also mention that the stock 5-way switch i'm replacing was laid out the same way, with the 8 poles/tabs/whatever in a single straight line like that

There are way to many pins in that pic, I have a pinout for an import 5 way switch in front of me and its the exact same thing.... There is really no need for all those pins on a 3 way switch....

All I can say is good luck lol!!!

no shit...that's what i'm saying

a found a couple of other blade-style 3-way switches elsewhere, but they also had 8 pins...just split 4 to a side. i figured i'd be doing myself a favor picking up something that's configured like the stock switch. maybe i was wrong on that one...
