So here's the deal. I live upstairs in an apartment but I still want to use my gear. I can use it at a pretty minimal volume and that's fine for just playing but I'd like to be able to record with it too.

I was curious if anyone has ever built a 2x12 Iso cab that actually works well and if so could you post how you did and what is needed to do so?

If you built a box inside a box (somehow) and filled the space between the boxes with OC703 or Rockwool, and still used some form of foam on the inside, would that not work better? You'd obviously need to figure out the best way to do that, but in theory, that should work better. Similar idea to building a room inside a room I guess.

I was thinking about making a sealed box with 1" MDF with soundproofing on the inside. Under the 2x12 I'd lay down one of these and the Isobox would be suspended on casters. Or possible just laying that isopad under the isobox itself since I'm upstairs.
