I like Jell-o. But yes, mashed up fruit in a jar is preserves if it still has fruit chunks in it. Damn, now you've put a wild hair up my ass and I'm going to look up jelly's, jams, and fruit preserves now! hahhaha.
 
I don't actually call anything JAM, I was just being contrary.

Typically if it has smashed fruit in it, I call it preserves, jelly is more like a processed, smoothed gelled mixture without chunks.

but uhhh, they're probably just all types of jelly.
 
just checked the fridge, and i have:

Organic Morello Cherry Conserve
Strawberry Spreadable Fruit

the jars say nothing about jam, jelly, or preserves?!?! is it cause they come from the hippie store?
