Thanks heaps guys for doing this Australian tour, it's bringing my friends and I a shitload of happiness seeing you play (for the first time ever).

Met Van, Chris and Jim before the show as they were loading in and I must say, you're all so down to Earth and realistic. Funny and nice is a quality not all of the big bands have, but you guys have it and my mates and I really appreciated you coming over for a quick chat!

...

Anyways, the tour isn't over yet and I'm going to see them again tonight!!! Front row AGAIN for me, most definately!

Cheers to Andrew for the setlist and Dave for the signed booklet. You guys kick ass!

Scott

Since when did nevermore have anything to do with cricket??

oh and guess what, right now, I am missing nevermore because so called friends of mine are cheap!!!

(the ashes is ours, you are going down Poms!!!)

Ok now for a little review of my weekend experience.

Friday around 2pm my friends and I all arrived at the Manning Bar and pulled up a table to have a chat before lining up before the gig (where we also met with in_absentia! ;)) and we were suprised to be greeted by a slick looking Nevermore loading in some of their gear just after we got there! Chris came over first and had a bit of a chat then we spoke to Jim and later on Van... This made my drummer friend extremely happy as Van is his idol! :P

We lined up and got in and sat through some local bands (MSI, Ruins, Terrorust) before seeing Skinless perform live.. Fuck they went off. Really crazy singer aswell!

When Nevermore came on everyone went totally apeshit for them. Well, the people in the front section did anyways. It was a flawless first Sydney performance and a great kick off to the weekend for many of us hardcore fans. Here's the setlist (which I scored but unfortunately didn't get signed because I didn't have a backstage pass :():

Final Product
My Acid Words
Narcosynthesis
Next In Line
Inside Four Walls
The River Dragon
I, Voyager
The Heart Collector
Engines of Hate
Sentient 6
Born
-----
Enemies of Reality
This Godless Endeavour

Setlist was pretty much the same for the second night except they also played Dead Heart in a Dead World and Never Purify.

Second night was so much better.. Much greater turn out and there was a much more vibrant performance from the band (probably because of having more people to play to). Loomis played the Enemies of Reality solos so close to my face I could have possibly licked the guitar. I wasn't going to do that though (no barrier between stage and audience)!! HAHA

It was pure ecstasy, and a perfect weekend for myself and hundreds of others.

Very warm and special thanks to the boys for coming out, it's heaps appreciated and thanks to Arne, their sound engineer, for being such a nice bloke and talking to us guys so much, even coming out to get lunch with us! (If any of them read this)

Best. Weekend. Ever.

*blows/bows*

They didnt play anything from DNB...?
what a shame, but at least im not totally shattered for missing them.
How was Lord on the second night by the way?

LORD was alright. I was so pumped to see Nevermore that I didn't take that much notice of Black Majesty and LORD, but when I was more calm earlier on I enjoyed Switchblade and as always enjoyed Transcending Mortality's set.

LORD played about 6 songs I think. I can't remember them all but I know they played Steelheart, Taranno Del Mar, Lost in the Light, I Am Death and Resurrection.

Im with Scotty boy, thanks heaps 2 you guys for comin out.
Meetin Van was the hilight for me when he stopped for a chat with us all.
And sitting onstage next to Loomis on the 1st night. That was brilliant and I got some fucking sweet shots from there too :D

Id give anything to relive those 2 days.Argh!!
The 2nd night was by far the better night with Nevermore kicking major arse.
And thank you Loomis for giving me the signed booklet.Fucking God amongst men :notworthy ..Ahh im so proud :p
