I am pretty appalled by the derogatory remarks made about EVH on this board. I mean, show some fuckin' respect.
None of the people here (including Andy) has achieved similar success and influence on literally millions of musicians, let alone sold that many records. I mean, 70% of the people on this board don't even have a band ...
Obviously dress choice is always a matter of taste and I agree that his clothing is less than fashionable, but if you are Eddie Van Halen, you can wear a skirt and socks with flipflops and still be cooler than most human beings, in my (not so humble) opinion.
Didn't know he had cancer, but judging from the way how out of shape the typical metalhead/musician is, that makes him look even better.
