New 8 String Guitar

I always dreamed of owning a conklin when I used to play bass, the guitar looks kick ass and congrats on the endorsement however those fanned frets and just the concept of the 8 string guitar intimidate the hell out of me.

Hot damn dude, that's nuts - I always prefer transparent finishes with nice wood over cheaper-looking solid finishes (especially with that color :hypno: ), but hey, it's your guitar, and I'm sure it'll play and sound incredible! What's the mini-toggle for?

Yes, it activates the death ray :) haha :)

Well, the fanned frets are for the intonation and tension to be optimal. Besides chords around the nut, it will actually be a little easier to play.

The mini toggle is a kill-switch to kill the signal of the guitar.

The tuning is low B, standard 6 string tuning, High A.

Stylus Picks are cool. I would not recommend using them exclusively, but a good tool to help get the ideal picking technique.

You must have some Ogre-huge hands. I can barely deal with thin-necked Ibanez 6 strings. Kudos!

This guitar is really beautiful!

Aside from the horrendous color of the body and the fact that it doesn't sport any fretboard inlay marks I'd like to have and play such an instrument.

The strange nut would be weird to play at first but I'm sure once muscle memory and habit kick in it would be easy as other 'standard' guitars.

I've started this horrible habit of 'digging' into the string so I think using the stylus could help set me straight along with dedication and plenty of practice.

The Blackmachine fanned fret 8 string looked doable, but there is just something about this one that screams madness.....

Good luck!
