Hi, hope someone has already got this set up - pretty sure it'll work but it's unfamiliar ground for me.
I've got serious synchronising issues with my current set up, and after a lot of research and even a whole new DAW build, I've still got problems - basically, multiple M-audio 1010's can't be reliably synched in larger set ups!
So I'm looking at more of a pro set up now which would be:
RME HDSP 9652 PCI card ---> 2 x RME ADI-8 DS converters
These devices, as I understand it would be connected via ADAT optical cables which carry the seperate 2 x 8 audio I/O (in this set up).
I've never used optical ADAT before, so all I want to know is:
1) Does the above work?!
2) I'm right in thinking that in future, I can get another ADI-8 DS and have a 24 in 24 out set up?
3) One of the ADI-8 cards is the master clock and the other(s) is slaved to it?
Many thanks.
