New Album Purchases

Abba are quality. I've been playing it non stop since I bought it so there's no need to mock Iced Dog

I'm cleaned out After Xmas but I think I'm probably going to try and get 'Jaktens Tid' next. Of course I'm still on a quest to get Ensiferum's debut but that can wait til payday perhaps...

If anyone's got the 'Out of the Dark Nuclear Blast compilation, what's the Jari Maenpaa song like? I think it's called 'Devotion' . I can't wait until 'Time' finally comes out.

Nuclear Blasts 20th Anniversary albums "Out of the Dark" and it's power metal companion "Into The Light" aren't quite as good as one might have hoped, but they do have their interesting entries, making them worthwhile.

I actually enjoyed both the Marco and Tarja songs on Into The Light. As for Out of the Dark, there are decent songs by the lead vocalists of Hypocrisy, Scar Symmetry, and yes the Jari/Wintersun song isn't too bad. It's a shame they only had one person produce these albums and didn't have the groups themselves create songs. They would have been much better than they are.

haha, it's all good :)

I listened to some of that Out Of The Dark album and but didn't care for it...I'm wondering now if I missed Jari's song...I'll have to revisit that.

Woohoo. I just pre-ordered the Limited Deluxe Edition of Ayreon's 01011001 album.

Now all i have to do is wait till the end of January (and hopefully no delays) for it to get shipped on out to me.

actually bought 2 more albums:
Finntroll - visor um slutet (wonderfull accoustic album)
Summoning - Oath bound (amazing black ambient)

Hah nice! Amazon shipped my copy of the Ayreon - 01011001 Limited Edition 2 days before it's scheduled American release date (they shipped it on the 27th, which is even before the date listed for Europe on the Ayreon page). And i even picked Super Saver shipping.

Last music purchase I made was back in Jan when I bought the CD/DVD box set of 01011001.

That is the only album that has come out in the last several months that I care enough to buy. Well, at least of music that is actually carried at FYE, I haven't made online purchases for music in a while since I don't have as much funds to do so anymore. I used to spend 100 bucks everytime I went cd shopping at online stores such as laser's edge and cd inzane.

An interesting trio of albums while I was at Virgin Records in Orlando...

Gnarls Barkley - The Odd Couple
Freezepop - FutureFutureFuturePerfect
God Forbid - IV: Constitution of Treason

Soul, Dance and Metal. A diverse taste in music is not something to be feared.

There hasn't been too much new out there, so I'm catching up on what I've missed over the years...

Chimaira - The Impossibility of Reason
Type O Negative - Bloody Kisses
