IOfTheStorm said:Ok i will listen it and i will see, but allow me to be very doubtfull since "Rebirth" was "another usual euro-power crap". And again i cant think that they will make something as good as their first 3. Ok forget "Holy Land" do you think that the new one is better than "Angels Cry"?
Jean-Pierre said:Have you guys heard this release? It's easily the best thing they've ever done. The song "The Temple Of Hate" destroys their entire catalogue with Andre Matos easily.
Andre Matos has never really done anything that worthwhile in my eyes, be it Shaman (gay), Angra (unrealized potential, until now), or Virgo (please, make it stop).

Nothing he sings is interesting AT ALL.
Edu Falaschi is 1000% better for Angra.
Wyvern said:One more thing, is there a way for people in forums to discuss their like/don't like points of view, without throwing gay in a sentence?
Well in that context Edu is much gayer than Matos IMO, and judging by the new Iron Maiden album versus Cans solo album, Maiden is gayer.Jean-Pierre said:Is it that big of a deal? I use the word gay to describe music that sounds prissy or powerless, and I'm pretty sure that other people mean the same. It's not like I use it so literally, I mean, my favourite singer is gay (guess who).
Edu is so much better than Matos that it hurts. Matos went from writing interesting compositions that went nowhere on Angra's albums to writing fruity euro-power/euro-rock that goes nowhere and sounds like Disney musicals. Edu's vocals are SO much more powerful. It was like replacing Joacim Cans with Bruce Dickinson, and now Angra have delivered the album they have had the potential to make.

So you see, everything is in the eye of the beholder. Happy?
I disagree. Hammerfall (which I have all their albums) is a good band, but Cans solo effort is way better and he's a good vocalist IMO, also check him in Warlord "Rising Out From The Ashes"Jean-Pierre said:I wasn't talking about new Maiden. The music on Cans solo album is great, but they can definitely use a different vocalist.
I mean using gay just as a word, not meaning the gay is actually homosexual, the way you use it (as far as I understood it). What do you mean "in that context" anyway? Edu may sound feminine, but at least he sounds like an excellent singer. Andre just sounded like...a brazilian gay bar dancer trying to imitate Geddy Lee.
Sorry I meant the nose of the beholderThe ear of the beholder, Wyvern, the ear.![]()

IOfTheStorm said:Well ok i can "accept" Jean Pierre calling his voice gay, but you Walter you have .. Duncan Patterson's quotes (lyrics, whatever) in ur sig., anathema's singer is less gay ? hahaha
