What does everyone think of these new samples? Personally, I wasn't impressed. But hey, that's me.

Well, Igot the big new single ,,And Then There Was SIlence.
It took them 4 months and 124 tracks to get this song to sound that PLAIN. I was not impressed,,and I am a BG fan of sorts. Teh other song thats on it..."Harvest of Sorrow" is waay better than teh title song, but its typical BG too. I hope the rest of teh new cd is going to better than this stuff.

Yeah, I meant to include that song in my complaint. I found it to be rather ho-hum and somewhat boring. I can't believe it's taken them this long to come up with that.

Do you expect them to play that same speed/power metal they did 10 years ago?
They are progressing in a good manner as i see it.
I have spoted some Shadow Gallery influences even, and that is reaaaaaaaly good.
The dudes are moving forward.
Be open minded, will you?
I am not their greatest fan, but last years they have been progressing a lot. And the path they chose is a very good one.

That comment would make sense were I a huge BG fan. As it stands, I think NIME is a great album, and their others are okay. I don't like a lot of the Euro power metal. That said, I was expecting BG to follow in the path of NIME, but I felt the new stuff I heard was much a reversion to their older, more boring material. I'm not saying I won't give the album a chance; I'll definitely download it and give it a couple spins before I decide on it, but so far I am unimpressed. Maybe they shouldn't have hyped how "complex" it was going to be, because to these ears it doesn't seem to be.

I think And Then There Was Silence is a brilliant song and the samples are not too exposive but not anything bad either. I'm looking forward with new BG album.

Your right. The only differeence you and I have with BG is I like NIME and IFTOS.
About NIME: Those theatrical parts in between songs are fucking great. I love the first one the best,,,,man that shit sounds real on my stereo,,shakes the windows and shit..hahaha
