And Darkspot returns home from the Record & Tape Trader's New Year's Day sale, triumphant.

Angel Dust- Human Bondage
Tori Amos- from the choirgirl hotel
Tori Amos- Boys for Pele
Switchfoot- The Beautiful Letdown
Anathema- The Shadow Enigma (or something like that...)

The last few hours have been kind of trying for me and I haven't been in the mood to listen to music, especially not some new stuff that I just picked up. I haven't heard anything by Anathema yet, I've heard that they're good though. And I've only heard one Angel Dust song ("Of Human Bondage). But I also got this power metal sampler CD with the Angel Dust CD, and it has stuff by Iced Earth ("Jack"), NEVERMORE ("The River Dragon Has Come"), Angel Dust, Blind Gaurdian, etc.
I think I may play some of the Tori Amos tonight, if I can stand being conscious anymore.
Any thoughts or comments or reviews of the other stuff?

hey I think I got that same sampler cd when I bought "Onward - Reawaken"
some good stuff on it too...
anyhow that last cd i got was Dimension Zero - This is Hell...very good music

The Anathema one is The Silent Enigma, very good album in my opinion, but also very different from the albums they've done since...a lot heavier, more aggressive..both musically and vocally...started mellowing out a lot after that album heh. But regardless of whether or not you like this one I recommend you check out some of the stuff they've done since...Eternity, Anathema 4, and Judgement especially...but that's just me heh..they're one of my favorite bands

Just bought these a little while ago...

Andromeda - The Extension of the Wish

Jag Panzer - Mechanized Warfare

both good, i like the Andromeda one a lot more though.

i just got
cryptopsy: whisper supremacy
finally picked up the nevermore s/t and sanctuary-refuge denied
candlemass, forgot the title and im to lazy to look, has a mountoun on the cover though

Orange Goblin - The Big Black, candlemass can't touch these guys.....speed metal bluez.

Last cds I ordered from theend (haven't been shipped out yet):

Wolverine-The Window Purpose (I've been trying to order this one for SO LONG NOW! But every time I order it, they are out of stock....)
Iced Earth-Days of Purgatory DCD (I waited to buy this until I could get the double cd...and now...IT'S ALL MINE!)
Opeth-Deliverance (I should have bought this one WAY back...but I have been putting it off for some ungodly reason)
Strapping Young Lad-SYL (see the above reason)
Arcturus-The Sham Mirrors (again, see the reason for Opeth)
My Dying Bride-Turn Loose the Swans (same reason again)

Got a ton of cds cause i was in Greece (Crete) for 3 months... I tried to hold out till the last few days to buy everything but there were some I just couldn't resist... Here's what I got:

Dream Theater - Train Of Thought (Amazing, best album of the year for me)
King Diamond - The Puppet Master (Digipack with bonus DVD - pretty good album)
Marillion - Script For A Jester's Tear (2CD Remaster - havent listened to it yet)
Anathema - A Natural Disaster (Really really good)
Anathema - The Silent Enigma (Digipack edition, of course a brilliant album, must have)
Nevermore - Enemies Of Reality (Limited Edition with Bonus DVD - dont have to comment on it, everyone knows how amazing this cd is, but my fav track is Tomorrow Turned Into Yesterday)
Shadow Gallery - Legacy (From the bargain bin at only 8,50 euro!!! Excellent album, too)
The Smashing Pumpkins - Machina (My fav Pumpkins album, actually on par with Adore, dunno why people didnt like this one so much)
My Dying Bride - 34.788% Complete (Bargain bin, 6,50 Euro!!!! Excellent album, but still not used to Heroin Chic)
Savatage - Power Of The Night (Remaster - still haven't listened to it)
Vanden Plas - Far Off Grace (Not that impressed, should give it a few more shots though)
Iron Maiden - Rainmaker (DVD Single - love that video, excellent photography)

Also mail-ordered recently the new Transatlantic - Live In Europe (2DVD + 2CD Box Set), this is excellent, top quality prog.
Oh, also picked up Jimmy Page & Robert Plant - Walking Into Clarksdale from a bargain bin a few days ago, it's not bad. Nice guitar work.

Yes that sale was a goodun, but oh man did it take forever to get through that line! LOL I got Little Earthquakes by Tori, it's good stuff! Also got: Dream Theater-Lives Scenes From NY DVD, Pantera-Far Beyond Driven, and Joe Satriani-Surfing with the Alien
