Hey Guys--
Sorry for the radio silence lately. I just saw the discussion of the new album in another thread, and that info was right: all the demos are almost done, but we haven't actually started recording for real yet. Still have to finish writing one song, but soon we're going to go ahead and start rehearsals on the new stuff and get ready to start recording.
I'm looking forward to getting back to it. I've been absolutely swamped for the last few months with the tour, trying to finish up projects I'm recording and/or mixing for other bands, moving, etc., but things should slow up after the next couple of weeks. Since you guys are so cool and patient, here's a little teaser for ya, made up of short clips from my demos of the new songs (key word: DEMOS).
THEOCRACY III DEMO TEASER
I'm a new Theocracy fan. I have "Mirror of Souls" and I just ordered "Theocracy" from the website the other day. Hopefully that will keep me content until the new album comes out. The demo's ROCK! Thanks Matt. Keep the faith, bro.

And I can almost tell by these short samples that I will like it even better than MoS!
Like the debut it seems to be more positive and melodic sounding than MoS that IMHO was a little darker and more riff orientated. I love MoS for what it is (one of the best christian metal albums of all time), but I'm REALLY looking forward to the new album!

I liked MoS better. that is just my opinion though. I still LOVE the self titled debut though. It has a unique style to it. I really liked Icthus, Twist of Fate, Theocracy, Serpents Kiss, and Victory Dance out of the self titled debut. This one is a good bit different than both. It has some qualities from the self titled debut but it is more complex, like MoS. More cool riffs, and instrumentation.
To me, from the clip, it seems like they're taking the intelligent-yet-immediate lyrics from the debut, combining it with the proffesionalism and production of Mirror of Souls, and adding technicality that was missing before.
I also thought of something aweful....Mirror of Souls isn't even 2 years old (it turned 1 Nov. 21, 2009)...so we probably have quite a long wait before this album is released.
