New DAW from Propellerheads

Watch the video! The singer performs brillant (at 2:10).
Looks like a software I want to check out, BTW. I love large mixing consoles (real and virtual), so I love the console in Record! If the SSL-emulation comes close to the real thing is to be checked out.

I'm very interested now. I love the fact that the mix window is layed out exactly like an ssl. The overall tempo change seemed pretty impressive. It's probably no pro tools killer but it might give logic or cubase a run for it's money.

So i'm reading about it, SSL has nothing to do with it apparently, but the console is layed out pretty close to how a 9000 really looks. I can't wait to try it.

digital death: have you used it?

No I haven't but I have done a bit of research on it.
I don't know if I'd wanna use their EQs and compressors the whole time...!

^i think the same thing, especially since most people (that i know at least) only even use reason via rewire and use cubase, pro tools or whatever else for recording. i can only see this appealing to people that are very very new to recording and know little about it

but who knows, that could just be me....

lol, nice video. those Swedes...

it makes sense though - transition from right brain to left brain, simple to complex, recording to mixing.

for me its got nothing to do with 'musicians, sound engineer, blah blah' its that i'm so easily distracted - now if only there was a way to record music without a computer

theres some videos on youtube of a rep showing a project on a mac book with tons of tracks and plug ins...

the prop heads closed architecture will probobly be a huge benefit for stability and track counts...

probably a bad idea for the impulse loving, drum replacement, amp sim vst crowd though...
