but he was specifically referring to the amount of solo time in a song. which in some cases exceeds 5 minutes.

also its just under 4 minutes of wankery between keys and guitars in "Beyond this Life". keep in mind this is one of my favorite DT songs.

none the less its too much at once. the amount of time you can solo for doesn't mean you are amazingly talented, just shows you have stamina, which doesn't make it anymore interesting.

Dude, you've been around the forum long enough to know that this isn't a big Dream Theater crowd. You should have anticipated a bash-fest.
