And speaking of Opeth and since this is another Dream Theater thread, I wanna know what happened to that supposed Mikael Arkefeldt (too lazy to look for the cool A)/ Mike Portnoy side project.

mr. fill in drummer is called Martin Axenrot, who was with Mike in Bloodbath. Yes, he's mr. permanent now too.

and yes, he is damn good.

WRONG!!!! (fuck yes, i know this one!!!)

Mike was in bloodbath for the ep and first album when it was Renkse, Blakkheim, Swano and Akerfeldt. Swano played drums on Breeding Death and Resurrection. For Nightmares made Flesh, Mike left and Peter Tagtgren filled in on vox. This was when Swano decided to move to be a second guitarist along with Blakkheim and they got Axe to be their drummer. Axe is also drummer for Witchery (which is basically an evolution from Satanic Slaughter) along with Sharlee D'Angelo of Arch Enemy and (more importantly) Mercyful Fate and Jensen of the Haunted.

Point is, Mike was never in the band at the same time as Axe, though Mike did fill in for the one live performance at wacken. That line-up was:
Mike - Vox
Swano - Guitar
Blakkheim - Guitar
Renkse - Bass
Axe - Drums
