I agree.. the MIDI on the AxeFx is so rage inducing. I still haven't gotten it to successfully work. Also being able to record a DI that easy would be awesome.
Interested in hearing how much the cabs on this have improved

Yes, let's forget that it actually has a lot more features...........it's just a 'digital preamp' and nothing more
Seems pretty pimp, all I'd want in a unit of that sort is right there (of course I'd really like it to be open source, have all kinds of guides and documentation for developing your own stuff, but I realize that's not how capitalism works). But I definitely will not be paying the price of two or three great used tube amps that will, ten years down the line, be worth ten of these. For some folks this could be an indispensable tool. But I don't do anything serious sadly so...

This will be a great studio tool , if it's moved on a lot from
the original unit then the boundary between analog and digital will be seriously blurred . Can't wait to hear some demo's ! Also to any one who recently bought and Ultra I feel your pain

sure but a built in audio interface!?
i can't imagine that it is anything near hi quality
as it has to cost much more then in general.
seems like a wrong road chosen for me atm, what do you think?

That feature will attract a lot of people. I'm guessing anyone who was on the waiting list will be getting the MK II one instead of the Ultra/Standard.

Right - that'll be US price, though. You guys will probably have to pay £2k. I can't imagine the US price going up and the UK price going down, not with steady exchange rates and the same VAT/import duties being applied to the product.
Hmm, very interesting. I still wish there was a sans FX version but oh well... Keen to hear comparisons between the original and the new one. $2200 is a big chunk of change, whew.
