The tour has been moved to start in Oct. due to Page Hamilton breaking his collarbone while mountain biking.

To answer your question, Kayla, Helmet is a very aggressive pre-cursor to nu-metal, sans the rapping. Many nu-metal bands tried to be Helmet, but they didn't last and they died as they tried.

Pick up "In the Meantime." You can also hear some of their influence even in Charlie's riffs (verses to "Stealing from a Thief" and "This is Not an Exit" as well as a lot of stuff on Stomp 442).

Helmet paved they way for alot these new bands today. I would say they play Heavy/Groove/Metal/Melodic Rock.

If you have ever watched the movie the Crow, Helmet is on the Soundtrack. They did get some air play back in the early 90's here in LA. Pretty good stuff. I remeber Anthrax saying good things about their music and the whole Charlotte, NC scene that never really took off.

I hope Frank kicks ass with this outfit.
