I still really can't believe it myself, because I didn't expect to ever find one of these, let alone decide to buy it after 5 seconds of playing it... it's quite an unusual choice for me, too. Never had a floyd before!

Without further blabbering, here come the pics!

It's a Sam Ash Limited Edition Soloist... they call it the SL2H, but IMO it is like an SL2H crossed with a Soloist Archtop Pro.

I found it in the local FMIC outlet store; actually I just wanted to buy a midi cable there, but you know how it goes.

The unplugged sound is so resonant and brilliant that I instantly fell in love on playing the first note, and damn it plays like butter.
It is set up with four springs on the trem, so it feels stiffer... just that little something that made me feel more at home on this trem than ever before, as I'm so used to the feel of my string-thru Jacksons.

It has two flaws, a little ding on the upper part of the body, and a low 19th fret that only affected the high e string. Somehow visible when you look for it, but doesn't really show in the photo:

I told the store guy (who is a big Jackson fan too) about it and he immediately called Fender for a partial refund as he hadn't noticed that himself.
A little setup made that playable too, action is still very good.
Nevertheless I then got another 10% discount on the price which is exactly the amount I'll have to pay for a full fretjob.

All in all it cost me about 2/3 the money for a new Jackson SL3 (which doesn't have binding and the arched top)... I just couldn't pass that one up!

Thanks!

Lasse, that's because it's not made in the USA like a real SL2H.
The Sam Ash SL2H LE is a Japan import with rosewood board and MOTO sharkfins.
That's why I compared it to the SL3, as it's the same quality, just some better specs with the original floyd and binding (and I loooooove the arched top, all my Jackson Superstrats have 'em).

And of course it's B-stock, that's why it even found its way into the Hamburg outlet store... normally you'd never find one of these in Germany since it is a special run for the Sam Ash chain in the US.

Love those guys, I bet its killer! Theres a similar Jackson Stars in red thats makin me play good cop bad cop at the moment!

When I got my Capi, I initially wanted to sell off my Dinky (kinda the same blue like yours there)... took it to band practise for "the last time"... and just couldn't let it go...

Japan- and US-made Jacksons are just brilliant instruments.
