are the last frets on a jem hard to get used to since their scalloped?

my main concern is that when im in the middle of a lick that uses 21-24 in the middle of it, Will that slow me down and create a pause in the lick.

No, you don't even know there scalloped really....my 470 is scalloped 21-24, so isn't my jem. Its there so you can grab the strings a little better and they ring out better, and it really works.
