New Isis leaked

I'm in the process of getting it now...pretty good from the three tracks I've heard

Yeah I've had it for a couple days now. Its fucking amazing! Definitely a pleasant surprise. Will take a long time to really sink in, like Panopticon, but I could see this being my favorite for sure.

Not typical Isis production yeah . So far it's not as good as Oceanic or Panopticon but that was quite predictable. Still enjoyable but I expected far more.

This album is exactly the direction I wanted Isis to go in, it seems a bit more aggressive and less repetitive than oceanic and panopticon, I have only listened to it once though.

Btw, Repetition is (was) part of what made Isis great. You don't want Isis to play like Sikth right?

I think there is more agressive parts on this than on Panopticon, but at the same time theres also more mellow and melodic parts. Theres some surprisingly heavy riffs in there.

Btw, Repetition is (was) part of what made Isis great. You don't want Isis to play like Sikth right?

I wouldn't be an Isis fan if I wasn't a fan of the repetition they employ now would I

Maybe aggressive was the wrong word, but there are certainly more intense, heavy moments than on oceanic and panopticon, it reminds me of celestial at times, and the drummer's certainly alot more varied on this release.
