First I've seen, these look great - but fuck am I furious that they put a rosewood fretboard on the red Dinky and not the others, which have the way sexier maple

'fraid so man. Indo and Mexico, actually, depending on the model. I think the Soloists are Mex, V's are Indo.

I'm open to the possibility that a well-made guitar could come from Indonesia, but I have yet to play one (Mexico yes, fortunately) But I guess both factories with high and low standards can exist in any country really, so we can only hope that Jackson chose the former to make their $1k+ instruments! (honestly that in of itself is a pretty bold move IMO, to charge that price for a non-Western made guitar, unless the street price will be under $1k)

Hopefully quality will stay reasonable. The trick is that QC when picking wood off the stack is just as (or more) important than the final fit and finish check.

I think (hope) they'd be pretty stupid to release a new Pro line and not go hardcore on the QC. The proof is in the pudding, however, and on Dec 5th I shall find out.

I believe they held a picture "contest" on facebook saying out 2-3 neck joints was the best, we don't know if that's what they will use..

Not like it matters if it sounds and feels good, but the aesthetics (angles and bolt positioning) on that neck joint make me physically ill Ibanez are still the kings of the AANJ IMO!
