Howdy all :kickass:

Its been a minute since I posted up my last original and it seems a bit overdue IMHO.
I've been working on a lot of ideas for a while now towards a project I'm calling Cheese Sandwich
This particular gem is the first mix using a new-to-me pair of Alesis M1 Active Monitors I picked up from a pawn shop.

This definitely isn't the typical nu-metal sound and I'd hardly call it metal but lets leave it up your ears instead of mine, okay?

(cant) Save Yourself

Sorry about the soundclick thing but for now it'll have to do :zombie:

I'm interested to know anything about any aspect of this based on what you hear so if you've got a few minutes take a listen and share what your painfully honest first impressions are be it what they may.

Thanks for everything!!!

Sounds like distorted guitars are too scooped / overgained / have too much presence or something

Bass is weird also. Sometimes it's too loud sometimes it's buried. Too boomy also. Can't hear it clearly enough.

Drums seem fine.

I do remember seeing the presence turned up quite a bit when recording this!!! Good call man!!! Although the gain was around 1/2 if I remember right...
The bass probably seems weird because I'm using podxtpro and my guitar for the bass track, but honestly I really dig the synth-ish feel to it and the depth
I've got some compression on it and the EQ rolled off at 60hz but what do you reckon? I want the volumes to be equal for all bass frequencies

Hey man thanks for taking a few minutes to listen and everything I'm really excited about this one

:Smokin:

you're welcome

I've got another thread up about a project needing some bass, perhaps anyone might be interested in throwing down on some bass for this one as well? Either that or maybe someone could point me in the right direction to get a better bass-ish sound out of my git'fiddle + podxtpro
Either would :kickass:
