New Mesa?

Get rid of the useless parts that would drop the price to a reasonable level?

Just by ditching the useless rectifier tubes/circuit would help considerably.

While I can agree somewhat, but , just because you don't use the tube rectos means it should be gotten rid of?
I'm sure for plenty of doom metal/sludge metal guys, the recto tubes are highly useful.
The world doesn't exist in a vacuum of metal styles relying on tight guitar styles, believe it or not.

While that is true enough, if Mesa want to release revision upon revision of recto variants I don't see what the problem would be with Wolfman's suggestion. If it creates a cheaper price point for a niche market of which they are strong in, then it could only help them increase their sales and solidify themselves within the market.
If you want silicon only, buy that one. If you want the option to use tube, then buy the one which gives that option.

Oh man, I've met so much idiots on tour who got their rectos from daddy just because XYZ uses them and of course, they never have a clue how to fucking dial that thing. They have it set on tube rectification out of principle (it's a tube, therefore it must be better - I want pure t00b tonez) and if you tell them to slap a TS in front of it, they think you're batshit insane (I paid 2.500 Euro for that thing, no way I'm putting a [snob voice] 50 Euro stomp-box [/snob voice] in front of it).

:Smug:

It's mind boggling how bad some people can make a rectifier to sound.
