New mix, Melodic Hardcore (S2.0, 8505,...)

here's a new mix of a local band, I'm recording at the moment.
Some pointers would be great!

They're really talented in my opinion, I'm really diggin' the vocals!
Gang vocals will be done in like two weeks.

how is this melodic? hahaha. i just hear breakdowns.

anyway, the mix isn't bad. i wish the guitar stood out a bit more. the vocals REALLY don't fit. it sounds like this dude wanted to be in an actual hardcore band, but was stuck with this.

EDIT: And omg, those clean vocals. Those need some serious autotune.

Mix is ok. Sounds kinda dull.. but i guess you haven't mastered it yet? But whats the reason for this static noise hiss in quieter parts? Then the room on the vocs really seperate them from the rest of the sound. Try a lil less or try the same reverb on snare. Whats really a nogo are the clean vocals. Autotune the hell out of them or get rid of them! They are way too loud too....

Sounds like the guitars could use some more gain, maybe on the pre-amp boost. Drums sound pretty good, although a bit dry and robotic, especially the OHs. The kick also sounds like it was pushed to the left for some reason... I'm also hearing what sounds like clipping on the bass track in the beginning. The clean vox need a lot of work.

I actually really like the undergained sound on the guitars.
Totally agree to the clean vox and to the robotic drums! This could be, because all drum velocities are at 100% at the moment. I'll try to see, what's that about the kick + bass clipping as soon as possible!

Sounds like the drums are slate and superior 2 blended together, am I right? The kit sounds good. It's hard to say what I was hearing, it could have been the cans I was listening on...

You're nearly right. OHs are S2.0, Toms and Kick are 100% slate and the snare is a blend of joey sturgis snare 1, S2.0 rooms and slate snare 12A!

can we get some stems for this?

Give me one or two days, I'll ask the band, whether that's okay for them!
