new mix! *mp3*

ENGL love in the hizzzzz! Most people who have played both the Fireball and Powerball seem to prefer the Fireball. I've never played a powerball but from what I understand the Fireball is indeed more raw and grinding as opposed to the almost "Hi-Fi" sound of the Powerball.

I'd def. like to play a Powerball but moreso, I want an effin' Savage 120 son!

Hey Ronnie, really great sound, and cool song !

What mics did you use on the guitars ? SM57 only ?

How did you triggered the drums ? Did you use samples from the drummer himself or did you use a library ?

:kickass:

i recorded this songs in 2005 in my old studio. the cabs are miced with 2 SM57on each cab. one in axis, one off-axis. one cab was in i a isolationbox and on in the recording room. i added some roommic on as well.

The trigging is Andy sneap kick and the rest is DKFHS. i mix the snare with the original snare. toms are all DKFHS Sonor.

what's up man..

I don't know if the guitars need to be louder, or just maybe the hi-hat needs to be lower. I notice it's way louder than any of the cymbols. If anything, I would raise the other cymbols a bit and lower the hi-hat.

I really like that guitar tone though...man - where do you even find Engl in the U.S.? I don't remember seeing it in any store...

The best place to get them is from "Death Metal" Derek @ RockSolidAmps.com. He's one of ENGLs very few distributors here in the U.S; located around Ft. Lauderdale. I got my Fireball from him and couldn't be happier. Give him a holla.
