Hey guys, I was doing a mix yesterday & after finishing I did an a/b comparison with the commercial tracks. I realized that somehow my bass, guitars are not sitting properly in the mix. I am unable to get that TIGHT low end. I searched this forum for some topics related to this. But neither of them didnt seem to work for me. So i think there a major problem in the mix which I am unaware of....I am posting the clip...suggestions will be very much appreciated :)

my opinion:

turn up the bass until you feel difference when muted and not muted. you can turn down your cymbals a little (are there separated from the OH tracks)

PS: nice guitar tone dude

how hard are you compressing the bass? i usually use multiple compressors with the first one at 3:1 to just even it out then i'll eq out some of the low end build up sometimes around 80-150 hertz and then maybe a multiband compressor again the lower band compressing hard below 200hz then usually a limiter at the end of the signal chain to really put it in it's place
