Something is missing, i don't know exactly what.
Maybe you should make the stereo field wider or something, more takes with different amp sims and eq to make the sound fuller ?

Overall 6/10 - i have vamp pro and i know it can do better.

Oooh... that typical V-amp sound. It has his own personality. Mine is somewhere in the cupboard. Now I use Pod XT, but V-amp did his work. I was a great defender and I even bought a V-amp pro and played many gigs.

I have a shitty creative sb512...I'm going to replace it with a Presonus Firepod.
If I remeber correctly Idiot Box was 2 tracks of v-amp (modern hi-gain), 2 tracks of v-amp with some impulses as a cab simulation and 2 tracks (for the background lick) v-amp with pod xt impulses.
The Dagoba clip was 4 tracks of v-amp with some impulses but I don't remeber why...probably the Kaomao set

thanks for the info--when you use impulses what v-amp settings did you use..did you disable the cab from the v-amp? and what amp sim. did you use
on the v-amp to use impulses? i have v-amp 1 i cant disable the amp sim only cabs i hope you understand me.... if you can please tell me your v-amp settings in detail thanks.......i think the idiot box has the best v-amp sound i'v
heard........do you record in 24bits/44?

The settings are:
Modern Hi-Gain
Bass: 2.5
Middle: 6.5
Trebble: 8
Presence: 9
Cab: 15

If you want to use Impulse, you have to disable cab simulation not amp simulation.
