New Modular Analog Saturator?

Sounds like a good idea, and the price is very nice. Depending on how these things sound, I could imagine them becoming a standard set-and-forget option on every mix.

I don't think there are any samples on their site yet though? I'm guessing those will be added in the near future.

Yeah, I think if I heard an A/B that sounded great, I'd be sold.

Practice, Practice, Practice! It's a great skill to get good at! In the last 2 months alone i've probably spent 40+ hours soldering haha, but i've got a compressor and lots of cables out of it! (and a mic pre in development)

Hm.. Good idea, I've got a few broken cables lying around here.. :D

This looks fucking promising!
Too bad, that I suck ass at soldering..

I think they'll be selling a pre-assembled version for $100ish more if I'm not mistaken. I'm personally okay at soldering, but I might just make the investment to get a piece of gear I know will work from the get go, as this seems like it'd be more complex to rig together than my (fantastic) reamp box I got from them.

Jup, that's what I understood too. The last option on the price list was an assembled version.

I suck at DIY stuff too, but it's something I've wanted to practice for a while now. The amount of overhead it can save is hard to ignore. I'll just have to find the right moment for it.

They have uploaded samples to their page http://www.diyrecordingequipment.com/colour-pre-order/ The iron transformer sounds amazing! Not so sure about the others, not really my taste I guess. If somebody would create authentic sounding console colors this thing would explode! Great concept and even the fully assembled module is very affordable for being a 500 module.

I will give this one a bump. I got a hold of Peterson and will be manufacturing aftermarket Colour modules (on behalf of Corvus Audio of course ) that should hopefully be available as soon as Colour is launched.

EDIT: I am an idiot. Yeah learn to solder, its a great skill to have.

Just put my pre order in for this fully assembled. Thinking I might sell some of my Slate plugins if this gives me the vibe in a better way than they do.
