new My Dying Bride album sample

400?!?! Holy shit!! Even with the 80, that can't drop too much. My grandpa has been checking his blood every day for years now. Aside from two heart attacks over 20 years ago, he's held his own, but will still cheat at times. Be careful, though. I've gotten him some sugar free stuff, like pastry for example, and that actually made his count go up. My old man is a type 2 diabetic and even to this day, two years or so later, he still can't get used to it entirely. I am a big coffee drinker. I put sugar in with the first cup, then after that, I don't have any, just in case I have the same problem. I can give up sugar if I have to, but not my coffee. I can't use anything with Aspartame and the like for the most part because of my epilepsy, so I'd still have to stay away from diet sodas and whatnot if it ever came to that for me. I'm sure you will do well with this. Whenever you guys are around for a show or whatever, I'll keep it in mind if I end up cooking a bunch of food and whatnot.

My wife was more than happy to have my hair down in all of it's metal glory at our wedding. I love my wife.

I'm not a big fan of tying my hair back, I do it very rarely when going out somewhere.

The best wedding I've ever been to, including my sister's. Hands down.

Yeah my mom's diabetes is crazy

She has 400+ all the time and today it was 55 so she needed to eat immediately. She has Type 1 though and hasn't lost any weight.

Novembers Doom is just one big medical condition, I'm telling you. Vito and Sasha are the "healthy" ones, but they're also considerably younger, so give it time, haha...

Having to change your diet due to disease or illness is tough, I know from experience too. I cannot drink any alcohol (not even a swig, ever), no caffeine, no hot spices or black pepper, I have to be careful about certain kinds of calcium due to my chronic kidney stones, as well as watch my uric acid levels. Unfortunately alot of the changes in my diet due to this haven't really caused me to lose weight, quite the opposite really. I used to be able to subsist on coffee and spicy foods and different stuff that didn't quite pack on the pounds. I try to diet and cut out other stuff but it's hard when my diet is so limited now anyhow! It requires that much more discipline that I'll admit is tough to keep up.

These medical problems of ours (as evidenced by issues that arose lately causing tour cancellations and stuff) makes being in an active, touring band very very difficult and plays a big role in our limitations in that area, sad to say. But so far we've been able to do some really cool stuff regardless so I'm pretty thankful for what we've been able to do!

used to be overweight when i was younger. its now got to the stage where i dont eat anything sweet, i dont drink milk(i drink soy milk now which is actually pretty good) or eat bread. the only vice i have is beer, the rest of the time its meat and salads (vegetarian alternatives rule for loosing weight, and taste pretty good) and occasionally pasta.

Wow guys, well we certainly understand the RC tour cancellation now :erk: Paul, that's just what you needed, one more health issue. But you seem to have a really positive attitude about it, and I know that goes a long way. My nephew has OUT OF CONTROL Type 2 diabetes, and he has to wear an insulin pump. He has had convulsions and gone into insulin shock more times than I care to think about.

Good luck with your health issues guys. And Larry - I can feel your pain man, if I had to give up coffee, iced tea AND spicy foods - FUCK, that would be INCREDIBLY hard, so kudos on hangin' in there with it! As far as diet drinks go, I have the same problem, I just can't get used to the taste. I don't know if you like Sprite, but I find Sprite Zero to actually taste OK. Itr's one of the few "diet" sodas I can stomach.

Sprite is one of the few soft drinks I can drink because it's caffeine free, so yeah I like it ok. I try not to drink soda too much though because of the sugar and calories. I like stuff like Caffeine Free Pepsi now and then, but people with kidney stones are told to stay away from dark colas when possible anyhow. My problems with the kidneys, bladder, prostate, and stomach add up to alot of restrictions that can be tricky to manage especially when traveling and your options for food and drink on the road are limited! When all else fails, bread and water is good, haha.

Sprite Zero - zero sugar, zero calories :) Jesus, I sound like a Sprite salesman :loco: sorry...

As for eating while you're on the road - you could always have Jess pack you a tour's worth of meals before you leave...:p

I'm on the best diet in the world... Diabetes! I had no choice but to cut ALL sugar from my diet, as I was dangerously close to a diabetic coma (like 45 points away). A compete lifestyle change had to be made and it's taking time for me to adjust to it, but I feel a LOT better over all now. A lot of heath issues I was suffering from (not including the spine disease) has cleared up now that we found the diabetic issues, and are getting it all under control.

Jesus man, glad to hear you've got it under control. The beetus is a scary thing. My husband is diabetic but he's retarded and never takes his meds and eats/drinks whatever he wants. He's gonna be in a squad car one day going 120 down the freeway and pass out into a damn coma. I have the opposite problem, I struggle to keep my blood sugar above 70.

Keep doing what you're doing or Wilford Brimley will show up at your door.

There is only one tune on here that is in the death metal genre, and it's more black metal sounding. He does some different things with his voice on this song, "A Chapter in Loathing".

Did you notice how that song has the exact same riff from the death-metal ending of the song The Blood, the Wine, the Roses? Pretty cool, right?

This was the first song written for the new CD, and was the original direction for the music of the new CD. At least, that's what Andy told me when he first started writing this new one. It obviously spun in a different direction! Cool indeed.

Yeah I remember even Aaron in early interviews saying the new CD was going to be a lot like the last part in The Blood, the Wine, the Roses. That must have been when they were writing A Chapter in Loathing, but then obviously their plans changed.
