Not sure on this mix so far, the band wanted it quite punchy but raw sounding, the mastering may be a little over the top but seems to be doing the job.
Guitars are LTD EC1000's through Valve King - 1960a 4x12, and Orange Thunderverb through a a slanted Orange 4X12. Guitars sound a little box-ey due to mic positioning, I didn't notice in tracking as I had to use headphones on location and was pushed for time.
Bass is DI through Pod Farm, older strings than i would have liked.
Drums are all with Red5 RVK7 mic kit except a 57 on the snare. Drummer was all over the place with his dynamics so I had to use some sample reinforcement on the kick and snare. Was some clipping on the overheads too so when the odd china or 2nd crash come in it sounds a little ugly.
Opinions would be really appreciated!
