New Trivium track

there was cable tv, you just had to get a box cause those old knob tvs werent cable-ready, and microwaves have been abundant since the 70s! damn old folks always making up stories like they had it hard!

Nope, we did not have cable until I was around 17 years old because we lived in a rural area. And we were the last people to get a microwave because, well my Father was leery of them.

I did go over my friends house and stay for the cable though! Oh, and I remember we went to my Mom's friends house to watch Rocky on HBO. lol.

Before the company went under we did have Super TV once, where it was just one channel. Any one remember that?

Did she ever get one?

When we finally got one my Dad refused to use it. Until he wanted me to make him a hot dog, I cooked mine in the microwave and threw his in a pot of boiling water. I ate my hot dog right in front of him and was done before the water boiled. The next time he wanted it in the microwave.

no, my mother is a full time housewife, her house is always clean like a fucking museum and she prepares three course dinners every day and makes thanksgiving-like dinners almost every weekend.

Microwaves are insulting to her profession, "no one will eat zapped tv dinners in this house!" :)

My mom is a chef and microwaves are not stricly used for TV DINNERS....
They are great for re-heating or other things... tell your mom to stick with the program ;)

I'm coming over.

HA I remember TV with the dials on them, heck I still have an original VCR...WITH DIALS and a remote ATTACHED BY A CORD. You could only start and stop with this silly remote. Tapes loaded from the top and it was huge. Best damned VCR I've ever owned though.

Holy shit, we had one of those too! It was one of the first series. We also had a Beta...Beta completely owned VHS, but as usual, the lesser technology always wins.

I went over to my friend Kates house every weekend when I was 12. She had a beta and we used to watch the last unicorn and strange brew on it. I almost forgot we got allot of millage out of the Lost Boys beta tape too.

But we had a VHS at home with the silly wire remote. I remember that we made fun of the 20 foot wire even back then. I will say that her beta was most definitely better then the VHS.

And we never did either! But the new TV we got, which was one of those ugly floor style console tv's, the dog chewed up the original remote to that. Had that damn TV from 8 years old until I was 23. Then it made this nasty zapping sound with a blue flash and was gone.

I would love to get that damn video on DVD too. I don't know what the heck I did with that tape, but I know I wore it out. I also loved the original little mermaid cartoon! I do recall the Emmet's otter's jug band Christmas! lol! That just brought back a shit load of memories!
