Axxis is another German band that has been around since the late 80s. If you like Helloween and Gamma Ray, then you'll probably like Axxis. Utopia was their last album, and I think it sounds pretty good.

Update: I have been asleep at the wheel. (crash) Utopia was not their last album. They have had two since then. Their last, "Kingdom of the Night II" was released this year. I have not heard it, but would love to read a review from someone who has.

Axxis is great. It was funny on the first Hellish Rock Tour they were on all the US posters for being a part of the tour. Wish they made it over back then.
