It's defo not Khan. Apparently Luca said not everyone knows the guy. I'd like either Oliver Hartmann or Morby to be the singer. They are totally different but I think both would be a great fit. The only thing is Morby is fucking old as the hills! lol

No idea. I need to hear more though. In the samples, he sounds a lot like a mix of a bag of different Italian power metal singers and Tony Kakko. I'm still going to check the album, but I'm not fully convinced by the singer. I hope to be proven wrong as I expect the album to be very good!
Edit: Apparently he was the vocalist for the band Trick or Treat. He also was a fill-in singer for Secret Sphere for a bit.

there was a post here a long time ago by The Q about Trick Or Treat. They were some power metal joke band that has a few albums out. Didnt really like what I heard from that band but he sounds great here with Rhapsody.

I could be wrong, but I believe Trick or Treat got started as a Helloween cover band. I have a couple of their CD's...they are fun but almost more of a novelty because they are rarely serious with the lyrical content. Let's just say if I was told that Luca had settled on a singer from an Italy based band, Alessandro Conti would not have been among the first 5 names listed. I look forward to hearing the new CD!

You are correct. They did start as a Helloween tribute band.
I also feel the same way, as I thought that based on the hype Luca built around it, it would have been a big name.

Exactly. Though I guess we should be thankful it didn't take a year and several audition videos to get to the announcement.
He sounds quite like Kiske which is Luca's fave singer in the world I believe so the choice is understandable. he looks a bit like that Dorian Gray character lol, quite dark and mysterious looking dude! Anyway the samples sound very good to me. One thing which puzzles me is that Luca calls the album the 11th Rhapsody album. Does that mean when Rhapsody of Fire releases their album it will be the 12th? Are they going to keep releasing albums side by side and keep adding to the conjoined Rhapsody discography? Also it seems there isn't really much bad blood between the two Rhapsodys. I read an interview where Luca was saying he and Alex were laughing at all the stories about the split and that.

Dude sounds great in my opinion. He seems to have bit more of a "range" with different sounding voices (not sure if I described that correctly). Definitely looking forward to the new disc!

i really hope it's Olaf singing the first 2 solo albums alone are 10x better than any rhapsody album. Mainly because Olaf is a clearer,and way better sounding singer than Fabio

Singer sounds great to me. For those of you turned off by the band this guy previously was in, I wouldn't be. His voice seems to fit Luca's music perfectly and that's all that matters, because let's face it, this is a dictatorship of a band.

What an amazing song and brilliant high vocals. A bit lighter than recent Rhapsody material but the melodies are too glorious for words.

You are right Sir. The song is very close to this classic in feel although maybe a bit more dramatic.
