i'm nowhere near as in touch with current happenings and releases as i used to be (that's what this board is for me, to keep up on the latest news and must have cds, etc) so maybe this is old news(?), but i just picked up NIGHTRAGE'S "sweet vengeance"...IT KILLS!!! it's all over the metal map, and i love it! here's what it has...jester race-era in flames guitar melodies...clean vocals(occasionally...)...full-on death blastbeats...overall a mid-paced to full thrash speed wise...and Lindberg on vox. The members are...Iliopoulos(EXUMATION)...Gus G.(DREAM EVIL)...Per M. Jensen(HAUNTED)...Tom Englund(EVERGREY)...Lindberg(AT THE GATES). They bill it as melodic death, but that's selling it short imo it's much more than that :hotjump: ...to my ears, one of the top 3 or 4 releases this year, period.Also grabbed DARKEST HOUR'S "hidden hands..." after reading about it here...also very good! rapid pace all the way through, with some cool guest musicians from soilwork, the haunted, and Lindberg again. I especially like the instrumental final track, "VERITAS, AEQUITAS". what is that, latin? anyway, along with arch enemy, this is the most new music i've had in ages. and i have COB's "hatecrew death-roll" coming form the end records still...yet another recommendation from this forum. thanks for all the help!
