As some of you may know, I'm currently moving home.
The final 'Big Push' is tomorrow!

I just want to let some of you guys and gals know that I may go AWOL for a few days during the move of my beloved (and hated!) PC.

So, rest assured, I will return as soon as I can!

I know that I'm not the only one on the forum (Valanx!) currently experiencing domestic changes so this may be a good thread to let others know how things are going.

So, for now, I will leave you with a nice email that Nigel Glockler sent us the other day! He had obviously been reading our 'Drummer' thread!

production!!!

Well, I've survived the move (just!) and am now waiting to get my home PC hooked up. So I'm taking a cheeky peek at the forum on my work PC!

Regarding Nige's email - yeah it is great that he is a regular visitor and I do know that he has posted before!! Don't worry, Valanx my Good Man - it ain't Our Royal Highness!!
The bloke is great and it is just a shame that he isn't going to go back to Saxon.

Well, the move wasa little stressfull, but I'm safe and sound!

The reason why I have not been as frequent to the forum is that I'm deeply involved with all the building & decorating improvemnts etc. that are being done for the person that is moving in to my previous home.
Along with that,I'm currently really busy at work - some of you guysknow what I do so you know what I'm on about! I just don't wanna bore you with it!!
So, at the moment, I have very restricted access to a PC to visit the forum. Needless to say, I will be a regular again shortly!!
Anyhoo - I am a keen admirer of Budgie and will be working on building my collection up. DH are a decent but I think a few CDs will keep me happy on that one.
The shock of recent times is that, upon dvice form the forum, I got myself a Scorpions compilation and have really got into them. I received a few more Scorpians CDs in the pot today - brilliant Stuff!

Anyhow - that's enough from me for now. I hope to be a regular shortly, folks!!

Anyhow - due to the service provider (telewest) being total twats, I'm still nabbing other people's PCs (and works!!) to keep up to date with the forum. Once I've forced a Telewest Rep to visit me for a meeting, I will have a date for when my PC is back on-line!!

btw - I recently bought the new 'Classic Rock' magazine because it has an AC/DC segment in there. Great mag with a god range of bands and interviews and stuff!

I read about 'Dream Theatre' in this magazine and have decided to give them a try. Anyone out there got any opinion about this band?

Ok so maybe your last post is a little old, but. Heres hoping you get your internet sorted soon mate! Keep us all updated fella!

Dream Theatre eh? well....I do like the song 'pull me under' and i know i used to have an album by them long ago on LP but i cant remember anything else other than that...Perhaps it WAS that bad!

I recently got (someone told me it was great?) James Labries (Singer from DT) new solo album [font=verdana, courier new, helvetica][size=-1]'Elements of Persuasion' and...i dunno im having a hard time liking any single part of it...Perhaps it IS that bad!

Now then, if you like that whats it called.....metal opera? No!! Prog Metal, yeah. I must recommend again to you 'Threshold' and the CD "Subsurface" in particular! It is a great piece of 'teh thinking mans metal' well, i guess you prog rockers would call it that and spell 'the' correctly also!.... and its prolly a lot better than Dream Theatre as well lol !

Other Bands that while 'not' prog strictly but are kind of in that melodic metal/rock vein i would recommend are:

Threshold - (As i said 'Subsurface' !)
Masterplan - (Anything they have done is well worth a listen!)
Thunderstone - (Sound like Masterplan)
Stonehenge - (Album 'Angelo Salutante' but its hard as fuck to find!)
Graveworm (hehe!)
Edguy - (lmgdfaorofpmsl)

ANd yeah just for the record im 'teh drunk!!' well its pre-wedding nerves man!!!!
