NO POWER IN GOTEBORG!!!!!!

You are correct DumbAss. All we could do was stand there and watch while 10 people ran around trying to fix the problem. We came to play. We'll be back.

I was going to write a "Fight the power"-joke but I resisted.

Scott, have you been outside much? I love this time of year here in Sweden, with flowers, no snow and warmer weather so I can go running. But Göteborg usually have pretty bad weather.

"Everyone we met?" Are you delirious? You couldn´t have met anyone because you didn´t show yourself on stage after the breakdown!
I don´t blame you for the technical problems, but couldn´t you have gotten of your high horses and taken ten minutes with the fans?? Fuck, I´ve been dreaming about seeing you live for 12 years. I spoke with people in the audience who have been fans for 20 years or more. And for what? Only to see that you´re assholes who don´t give a fuck about the fans.
Wow! Six posts and he's already shooting his mouth off!

I'm gonna get creamed for daring to ask this, but what the hell...

Black Thirteen, never mind the fact that you guys wouldn't have had the right equipment for it this time around, but how plausible would it be for Anthrax to do an acoustic set? I mean, riffing on a guitar is riffing, whether it's on an acoustic or pumped through a Marshall stack. Throw Charlie on an acoustic as well, and you've got the Lynyrd Skynyrd three-axe attack.

Hey Sargon, we did come out and we signed everyone's stuff by the barricade. Where were you? Too busy exposing your penis?

on reflection tho......i am glad we dont live in a society where everyone who is unhappy with something gets their penis out to show their displeasure.... hahaha the world would be an even crazier place

In a large hall, full of people and no mics the crowd wouldn't be able to hear anything. All these 'Unplugged' shows on TV are all still miked and amplified through a PA. No power = no noise. Acoustic or otherwise.

Gibba's correct. Without proper power from the pa to mike the acoustic guitars and no power to put the acoustic guitars through amps, the sound wouldn't have even made it off the stage. And believe me, had they done an acoustic set, people would have bitched about that too. It's a lose-lose situation, but don't fault the band. They've always been good to us.

I'm always correct! :p

The power cut twice during Beyond Fear's soundcheck. The people at the venue promised us that it was fixed. I guess not.
We did an acoustic version of Safe Home on that late night show with Carson Daly. Maybe it's on youtube.com

Actually, in a venue that size it would've sounded fine. Plus it would've been something really cool for the people there. Has anyone heard of the band Phish? They would do acoustic / acapella songs at their shows in front of 15,000 people, I saw it many times and as long as the crowd wouldn't scream bloody murder through the whole thing you could hear fine, no mics or nothing. A venue the size of Gothenberg and a crowd of 500 would've been more than feasible to accomplish this. So, sorry Gibba this time you're wrong. If people still bitched, fuck 'em, at least then the band made an attempt.
