I just realised, I have a few mattresses at my disposal. Would making a vocal both sized...booth out of mattresses stood up to make a small...boothP) work in getting a decent sound? or would that create different kinds of reflections?
For my band's first 2 CD's. I did exactly this, used a mattress and box springs to build a makeshift booth. I used the mattress pushed into a corner (it was king size) and then the 2 box springs (each about the size of a twin bed) to make the booth. I then covered it all with bedspreads, and draped one over the tops of the matresses to completely close it in. I think I had about an 18" gap where you could slide into the "booth"...Our vocalist said it was pretty cozy, though!
