hey all -
looking for a place to land (Blabbermouth, even with the recent purges, is not much of a community at all).
figured that my longtime favorite band's official forum might be a good place to start. used to post at BeyondDeath during its heyday, login SpookyKabuki or SK, if anyone from that time is still around.
some backstory: discovered Opeth in late '97, first disc was Morningrise. I had just moved to SF and a clerk at Amoeba in Berkeley (great, great record store) had posted a note in the Black/Death Metal section above a band called Opeth. The note said "Best band in the universe." I said what the hell, I'll give 'em a shot - and the guy was dead-on correct.
fave Opeth albums:
Blackwater Park, Ghost Reveries, Morningrise, My Arms Your Hearse (but they're all 10/10 for me).
so anyway, just a note to say hello, I'll skip the Opeth ROXORS crap, and looking fwd to seeing what's what around here.

np: Sigh - Hail Horror Hail
