the power chords sound great, but the individual notes sound quiet. More so in a than b. i prefer the sound of a, but b is more balanced.

I like the tone of Clip A, but the "even-ness" of Clip B...

maybe compress whatever clip A is, amp wise...

They're waaay too low in the mix compared to the drums. I prefer A, but I'd really like to hear them sound more beefy and 'in your face.'

Definitely A. The A is a 5150 and the B clip is a recto?

One thing I don't like about A is that the clarity of notes gets lost. The B track is clearer, although more hollow and fizzy. The two would blend well together, as I'm sure you know.

No, they're both the 5150.... green channel. A is normal & B has the hi-boost switched in. Go figure.


Actually, I've reamped it one more time & found a good compromise. I think the 'note clarity' thing comes from the mic preamp, though. A was a Vintech dual72, & b was an API 512c.
