Is there anyplace online that contains a COMPLETE November's Doom discography? I have read about a couple 7"s, demos, and various compilations. A collector junkie like me needs to know about EVERYTHING!! (and then go hunt it down!!!)

Most Demos and 7" were released under the old band name, Laceration. The ONLY release other then the CD's listed on the website is a demo caller "Her Tears Drop" and those two songs appear on the re-release of Amid It's Hallowed Mirth on Dark Symphonies.

If you want the Laceration stuff...

Demo # 1 - Laceration - The Way of All Flesh (Thrash metal)
Demo # 2 - Laceration - Scabs (VERY slow heavy doom death)
Demo # 3 (7 inch) - Laceration - Ripping Avulsion (Both songs appear on Amid It's Hallowed Mirth)

I would also love to get my hands on the above listed items. Hell, even copies of them would be nice. I'm VERY obsessive and take being a "completist" to a whole new level. The problem with old tracks being re-released on albums is that they never sound the same as they did on the original demos. They end of getting re-mixed, re-vamped, ect and become an entirely different entity.
I know finding the originals of those four demo's/7 is tantamount to mission impossible. I can't even find mp3 versions of them floating around. :(

Generally, www.metal-archives.com has good info on bands' discographies. There's some more or less amateurish reviews for the albums as well, but you shouldn't pay much mind to those, as pretty much every album that isn't St. Anger or Metalcore will have 80+ score.

But it's a good info site for bands' albums and stuff, lyrics too. At the very moment the site is down though, no idea when it'll come back online.

Thanks Madu,
Yes, I am extremely familiar with metal-archives. I know some of the moderators there. There is some false info.

(IE - Joe from Novembers Doom, also being in Soulfly!!)

Ah. Yes, they do have some false info and they have a lot of bands that shouldn't be there - yes, Rush is very influential, but there isn't anything metal about them, they have a few folk bands with 0 metal elements and dark ambient bands just because they're side projects of people who have black metal bands..

But I suppose m-a isn't enough for a real 'collector junkie', as there wasn't a word about those Laceration demos Paul posted about :D

Yeah, it really just depends.
Any registered user can submit an entry to any band's discography.
so for some bands , there are crazy releases , esp in the "demo" sections.

Maybe I'll post MP3s of the Scabs demo for you... If I can find a copy. haha

I've had a streak of good fortune of late. I found and dl'ed Demo # 3 (7 inch) - Laceration - Ripping Avulsion and three out of the four tracks from Demo # 2 - Laceration - Scabs. I like them a lot and am dieing to get the rest that I'm lacking from the list below. I know that some of those tracks have been "re-released" but as I said before I'm very obsessive and desire to have the original recordings. It's just not the same, know what I mean?
No one seemed to have The Way of All Flesh or Her Tears Drop. Only two or three I seen had Demo#3 and only one had "Scabs" albeit with the missing fourth track.
I'm going to list the tracks and times here:

Laceration - Ripping Avulsion
1 - Sadness Rains 4:44
2 - A Dirge of Sorrow 5:01

Scabs
Crown of Thorns 6:32
Winter Solstice 4:36
Mammaliferous Earth 8:18

Does that sound right to you Paul? Any way you could help us diehard fanatics would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

ND - Her Tears Drop
Demo # 1 - Laceration - The Way of All Flesh (Thrash metal)
Demo # 2 - Laceration - Scabs (VERY slow heavy doom death)
Demo # 3 (7 inch) - Laceration - Ripping Avulsion

This is correct. I'm shocked you found the demo to download! The missing song is Scarification (I think... haha)

"Her Tears Drop" is the 2 song demo, that was added to the re-release of Amid on Dark Symphonies, and the songs are "Seasons of Frost" and "Nothing Earthly Save the Thrill."

"The Way of All Flesh" is 4 songs as well... Premature Burial, The Crucible... I can't remember the other 2. haha! I'll dig these up for you soon.

Hey Paul, just wondering if you've had any luck in unearthing those old tracks?

And this is how original Scabs demo looks like:

The other 2 songs off "The Way of All Flesh" were Natural Disaster and Evils Loss. And I think there is another demo we never let out at all. We did a Celtic Frost cover on that one and a faster version of Scarification and 2 other tunes. Cauldron of Kindred was one and one lost song I cant even think of.
Demo #1 - The Way of All Flesh
Demo #2 - never released 4 songs
Demo #3 - Scabs
7" - Ripping Avulsion

Scabs and Ripping Avulsion are on the 3rd release of Amid, on The End Records.
FYI, I'm listening to "The Way" Demo right now. Bad drumming, old school, anolog, metal demo. lol
